This is a short one...

This week wasn't terribly eventful.  More of the same.

Spending some quality meditation time with her multiple Wubbzies.

My sister also went on some playdates with the mommy and me group.
This day they went to Pretend City.
Sissy and her friend Connor.

 She did lots of stuff...
Picked oranges...

Picked apples...

Made sushi...

Played in water...

Shopped for cars...
(Grandpa has one, and this is where Daddy got his car...so maybe they will take the hint.  She will be 16 before they know it!)

She played with tools and tried to help build a house...
(she made sure that the tools were the right color.  Daddy says only the teal ones!)

She even sat in the sink in the little house like she does at home.
Tia Ericka would be proud, she was doing dishes.

After Pretend City, she was tired, but the Diegmuller house was on the way home, and Mama said they had to stop to say hi.

Papa Jorge said he would teach Sissy to cook!
She looks thrilled, doesn't she?
I don't know if she is meant for domestic stuff.

Papa Jorge made sure she had the correct tools to start her lesson.

Sissy decided to supervise instead.  It is serious business!
She told Papa Jorge, "Andele!  I'm hungry!  Cook faster!  Or I will hit you with my spoon!"
Papa Jorge just laughed.

After touring a preschool, Sissy went to the cousins' house to burn off some energy.

They have lots of toys to play with.

Cousin Beckett taught her to play the piano!

Auntie Candice told the boys to share....they were very good at it.

Auntie Candice also said she could have their high chair.  Mama thinks she looks very little in it.

She was given toys to keep her attention.

But, she just got them dirty.  This was her first time eating Yams!  She seemed to like them more than the carrots last week.

Maybe she likes them a little too much.
(Look!  Her eyes are brown here!)

It's official!  My sister can drink from a sippy cup!
This was her first attempt!
Mama gave it to her so that she could play and get used to it.  She filled it half way up with water...and when she came back, half the water was gone!  Sissy drank it!

Sissy practices a little bit every day.
Mama is still scared to put milk in it.

OH!  Sidenote.
At 3 months old, my sister boycotted the bottle.
and at 6 months, she started up again!
Strange, but Mama isn't complaining.

Mama's friend Sharon had her baby this week.
We didn't want to disturb them, so we went to drop their present at their front door.

Across the street was a park.
Sister doesn't look happy, does she?  That is because it is raining today!

As you can see on the wood, the raindrops were getting bigger!

Mama and Sissy had to take shelter in the playhouse!  But there was a maze to get to it!

But, they made it!  Right before the downpour.  They stayed there for about 5 minutes then ran to the car.
(Sissy is staring at a picture plate that had a "clue" to get through the maze.  When the rain hit it, it made a lot of noise.)

As for me.
I hit from the monsoon under the ottoman.
I haven't hung out here since I was a puppy.
I made sure to have the essentials.  Food and Drink.  A chocolate covered strawberry and Vitamin Water.
I think I will stay here until the storm passes.  (Which is tomorrow)
I hope you all stay warm and dry until next week!

SIX MONTHS OLD!

Yep, you heard me, my sister is six months old!
That is half a year!
Mama says that she is growing up too fast and it makes her tear up a bit.
As for me, I am like, "Only six months?!  Feels like she has been here forever!"
Sissy had to do to the doctor's office.  She had to get 3 shots.  YUCK!

She weighed in at 19 lbs and 7 ozs
and she is 28 1/4" long

She had to be naked for a lot of the appointment.  It got cold, so she took it amongst herself to use the crinkly paper as a blankie.

She saw her mirror friend at the Dr's too!  Obviously, this was BEFORE her shots.
She was a trooper.  She only squealed and cried a little bit.  She stopped once Mama picked her up.

Plus, they gave her a Dora the Explorer sticker.  That made her happy.

Even though all she did was eat it.

The weather has been crazy.  Cloudy one day, sunny the next.
I like the sunny days most.  I get to stay outside all I want.

The cousins joined Mama and Sissy at one of their playdates.
She showed them how she can grab her feet (all the time).

They were able to go on all the big kid rides.

Looks like fun, doesn't it?

They both tried to get Sissy to play with them.

But, she stuck to what she knows....the swings.

So, Mama and Sissy are doing tours of Montessori's (preschools) with their mommy and me group.
Again, Mama says that Sissy is growing too fast and doesn't want to think about preschool yet.  It is a good thing they are, because the waiting lists are a good 3 years long!

After looking at preschools...everyone went to Chuck E. Cheese's!
It was my sister's first time, and Mama hasn't been since she was a kid.
My sister wasn't too sure about Chuck.  Daddy thinks they look like they are going to get into mischief.  But, after they got home, my sister told me, she thought he was shifty and wanted to keep her eye on him.

She took a car ride with Stewart Little too.
She didn't quite understand why this restaurant was filled with mice!

But, she found a game she could relate to!
No rodents for her!
This game looks like me!  You push down on the bone, and feel the dog a bunch of plastic balls.

She was really good at this game.  She is used to feeding me stuff, so she has had a lot of practice.

My sister got a few new things this week.
Daddy got her a big girl car seat.
She wasn't thrilled at first.

But, she soon realized that it is much roomier than her old carseat.  And she can see a lot more stuff now.

She also got a grocery cart/high chair cover.
Here she is trying it out for the first time at Babies R Us.

It took some getting used to.  And even though she was strapped in, she would topple over a couple times.

But, she got the hang of it by the second time they used it, at the actual grocery store.  She helps Mom pick out produce while she and Sophie the giraffe guard Mama's purse.

The doctor finally gave my sister the go ahead to eat solid foods.
So, Mama gave Sissy a spoon to get used to.

She's actually pretty good at it.  She always puts the right end in her mouth.

She practiced all the time...even while watching March Madness with Daddy.

Me?  I don't need to practice eating....I have got that down pat!
So, I just relaxed and kept warm during the rain.

Let's see, what else?

Sissy had a playdate at least 3xs a week.  It is good.  It gets her out of the house so that I can sleep.

Here are a couple cool cats.
My sister and her friend Connor literally, just hanging out.

"Whatcha lookin' at?!"

Everyone knows that my sister's favorite cartoon is WOW WOW WUBBZY!
So, Daddy got her the beanie babies!  They are the perfect size for her to hold.

He got her the big one too!

Of course, she'd rather just eat the tags.

She loves watching like she is at a drive through movie!

What's better than watching WOW WOW WUBBZY with Wubbzy himself?!

So, like I mentioned earlier, my sister can eat solids now.
She is starting with orange veggies.  This week is carrots.
Mama steams them.

Puts them in the Ninja blender.

Schmushes it up.

And freezes it.

 THEEEEEEEENNNN...
Sissy eats it!
This was her first try.
Good thing she practiced with that spoon!

I tried to coach her...
but she didn't seem to like it very much.

I don't know why, I thought it was plenty tasty.
(Don't worry, we used different spoons)

I don't see the big deal.
She puts everything else in her mouth!

 WATCH OUT!
This is my sister backing up.  Unfortunately, she only really knows how to go backwards.  Luckily, she knows how to look behind her.

But, you see this face?!  She is a menace on the roads!  So, watch out!

I'm good in the safety of my blankie on the couch.
I think I will just stay here until next week.
See you then!
