Overdue update PART 4 (me)

Does anyone remember why my blog was started?
Here is the first post.

Basically, I started this blog to keep everyone updated on my surgery (actually, surgeries, plural).
Then, it evolved to me updating you on the going ons in my family.

Well...it is another summer, and we have come full circle.
I have been down and out.
Thank goodness I have this blankie to comfort me.

Up close, everything looks fine.

But, if you step back...you will see the many layers of the living room.  Yes, folks, the air mattress is back.  On top of it is one of my beds, then the couch.

My Sissy loves it!  My misfortune has become her bounce house!

She's silly.  She doesn't jump, but she rolls around.

Basically, what happened, was...
My Mommy and Sissy took me out to go potty.  They then brought me home, and went for a short (maybe 20 minutes) walk.  Daddy came home from work at the same time they came home from their walk.  And Daddy said, "Why is the bulls limping?"  Well, wouldn't you know it?  My other ACL went out.  And I had to get surgery AGAIN!

As you can see above, I have a bald leg, again.  And as you can see here, I have lots of staples, again.  And no one knows why, but I bruised a lot more this time.

So, no I have to recover, again.
It is kind of hard this time, because last time Mommy could just focus on me and my recovery.  But, this time I have a sister.  And it is actually easier to just leave the house and get my sister out of my hair so I can rest.  Otherwise, I just want to be where my Mama and Sissy are and I walk around way too much.  So, now, I am home alone a lot.  But, it is for the best.

But, thanks to my Daddy and Sissy, I am recovering well.
Daddy takes good care of his girls!

And I am getting better!
We are back to our sibling antics.
She bugs me...

and I bug her!

But all in all, we just relax together.
They are good at keeping me company and making sure I am ok.

The good thing is, I only have 2 back knees.  And now that I have had 2 surgeries, that means I am done.
I am officially ROBODOG!

So, that's about it.
Hopefully, I will remember to post more often.
Sorry these took so long.

Overdue update PART 3 (random stuff)

So, this is going to be a choppy post.  This is just random stuff that happened.
Sissy eats a lot of solids now.  This is her eating peas for the first time.
But, since then, we have done string beans (which she didn't like, and did a gagging sound all the time), broccoli (which inflamed her reflux, so she can't have them), spinach (she can take it or leave it), golden beets (again, she can take it or leave it)
AAAAAANNNNND
MEAT!
She eats beef and chicken now.
And Mommy mixed brown rice with her veggies for texture.  She seems to do ok with it all.  She also eats little bits of what Mama eats.  Whenever Mama gets a crab sandwich from the Lobsta Truck, she gets some!

As for me, I just sit under her high chair waiting for puffs to fall.  And if Sissy doesn't eat all her dinner, Mommy let's me eat the rest!  YEA!

It can get pretty messy.

And she makes it plenty clear when she is done.

Like we said before, Cousin Garrison had a birthday!  He got lots of superhero toys!

The best part about it, was that we got to see Grandpa and Grandma!  We don't get to see them much, but they will be back in June for Grandma and Aunt Karen's birthday.  Plus, the family is going to take a trip in July to go visit them.  It will be Sissy's first plane trip!

Sissy went to a carnival at Cousin Garrison's soon to be elementary school!

She still isn't crawling.  But, she sure is trying.

It is more of a scootch.

But, the roll is still the "go to move" to get what she wants.

This is Sissy on her way to Great Grandma Grace and Great Grandpa Chuck's house.

They live in Laguna.
Can't complain about California living.

Sissy got tired of looking from afar, so Mama took her down to the sand.

WHOOOOO WEEEEE was it cold!

Sissy kept stomping the sand like a horse!

And squishing her toes in it.

"What is this stuff?!....I think I am done."

I'll just hang out on this rock.

"Get rid of the hat!  I can't see what this green stuff is!"

After, they went to eat Chinese food at Great Grandma and Great Grandpa's favorite place.  They don't even have to order!  The waitress just knows what they want!

Sissy also went to Auntie Laurie's for Mother's Day.  Auntie Dee was nice enough to get Mexican for the moms.

They have a pretty backyard.  There is a lot for Sissy to look at and grab.

Sissy is silly.

And she got sooooooo tired.

But she hung in there so she could spend time with Mama on her special day.

They also went to Fashion Island to see the fish.  They kept swimming away from Sissy.

But, they finally came!  This is the one that looks like a Japanese flag!  It must have known that Sissy is hapa (half Japanese).

She looks very serious.
Thinking up her next composition.
She loves to play the piano.  And is waiting for Mr. Chai to give her first lesson.

To be continued....
one more update to go!

Overdue update PART 2 (playdates and classes)

So, it wasn't an official playdate, but cousin Garrison had a birthday.  Everyone got to play.  So, that makes it a playdate.  There will be more on this day later.

We have also had several pool playdates.  Too many pictures to post.  And they all start to look the same.

Hello from My Gym!  My sister and her friend Brennen joined for the month.  Our mommies had a coupon to try it.  So, they have been going twice a week.

The ball pit is Sissy's favorite.   But, she is kind of heavy.  So, she starts to sink.

Deeper...

and deeper...

and deeper.

But, Brennen is always there to save her!

Sissy also LOVES the trapeze!  Daddy doesn't like seeing these pictures, they make him nervous.  She looks happy to me.

She tumbles a lot.

(this downloaded wrong, sorry)
You can see, but she is in the parachute!  The teachers swing her and roll her around.  It is hit or miss on whether she likes this.  Sometimes she loves it, sometimes she just cries.

She stacks.  Kind of.  Not really.  She holds the rings and Mama stacks them.

She swings!

And does the trapeze again!  YEA!

This is independent time.  All the babies are put in the middle of the room, and the mamas have to sit outside the circle away from them.

Sissy does fine.  Mama doesn't.  It doesn't last long.

The family went on a zoo playdate with Brennen and his family.  They went to to Santa Ana Zoo.

Mama made her take a lot of pictures.

She's a turtle!

And she is ready to hatch!

Photo ops aside...they saw real animals too.
A LOT of monkeys.
Most of the animals were in cages and habitats.

But, Sissy got to see some animals up close.  Like the goats.

And the geese.

This was a great playdate!  Everyone got to meet baby Jack for the first time!  Jack's family lives in Vegas, so Mama doesn't get to see them much.
Sissy offered to share her teether.

"Good job, Kid....stick with me, and you'll be fine."

They'll be great friends.  The both love their Trumpette socks!

To Be Continued....there is still more to go!
