First thing's first...
Sissy went to her 4 month well check appointment at the doctor's office today.
Her regular doctor is on maternity leave, so she went to the doctor that first saw her in the hospital when she was born.
She is officially...
17 lbs 7 ozs
26.5" long
head: 43 cm
Even though she didn't grow that much from last time, she is still over the 97th percentile, and the doctor said that she is consistent and proportional.
Her tactile skills are good.
And he said that he could see her bottom teeth under her gums and that they will probably pop up within the next month or so. So, I guess it makes sense she has been sucking on everything she can get her hands on, and she like things cold like this frozen toy and Mama's fingers while on a walk at night.
As for me, I have been doing what I do best...
SLEEPING
Sleeping through colic crying...
Sleeping through reflux crying...
Sleeping through crying for Mama and food...
Basically, sleeping through a lot of crying.
But, don't get me wrong, Sissy doesn't JUST cry.
She does weird stuff like this...
When she is finished nursing she likes to hang upside down.
Mommy thinks her giggling is funny.
And aside from crying, Sissy and I have good times too.
For instance,
Every night, we went for a walk and looked at Christmas lights, even when it was well past Christmas time.
(Mama said to notice Sissy's dress by Decaf Plush, Mama is obsessed with the animal felt pockets.)
I also taught her to enjoy her doorway jumper that was a "hand me down" from the cousins.
And we even watched some TV together.
Although it was more her watching cartoons and me sleeping through it. (of course)
You might not be able to tell what this is...but it is a portrait of the 3 girls of the house.
Basically, it is a picture after I have crawled over Mama's shoulder while Sissy took a nap, and I pushed them off the sofa. I am trying to teach Sissy to share. She can't hog the sofa!
The Saturday of the first week of January is opening day for Supercross.
Mama and Auntie Ericka have gone every year since they were kids.
This year, Mama had to skip it because it is always super cold, super loud, and super late for Sissy.
So, even though they spent opening day at home, Sissy had to represent her colors and show that she is a true Kawi Girl!
Papa Jorge got her this onesie when she was born, and it fit just in time for the race!
Look how happy Sissy is to watch the race! A girl after Papa Jorge's heart!
And of course, posing with her on the screen is the #1 rider, Ryan Villopoto!
And the perfect way to start the season, Ryan won!
GO TEAM GREEN!
Here are a few random pictures.
No reason for them...Mama and I just thought they were cute.

Sissy laughing, and not crying
Another "happy baby" picture.
They make Mama happy. It is hard to catch the happy moments on film.
Happy Baby watching "Wow Wow Wubsy"
Don't worry, she isn't a total TV baby, but Mama has to pump in the morning and needs to keep her occupied.
This is Sissy (wearing Decaf Plush) after seeing her Tia Ericka walk through the door!
She sure loves her "Auntie Tia"
(that's what Daddy calls her)
OK, don't think my Mama is crazy. But this is her stash of cloth diapers. It is rare they are all clean and in their drawer. She just told me to show them off for her. No reason other than they make her happy to see them all in a row.
Mama likes this picture too. Again in Decaf Plush. She said that Sissy looks like she is prancing in a fairy tale forest.
Grandpa gave Sissy this hat. It came with an outfit too, but Mama loves the hat that Sissy wears it every night for their walk. There is a little pom pom on the back. Daddy thinks she looks like a little bohemian artist.
That's about it.
I am going to just keep doing what I do best.
Sleep.
But, I will make sure I am awake enough that I can keep giving you reports.
I will try not to take so long next time. Sorry.
See you next time!
My goodness, those are the cutest dresses I've ever seen!!! :-) I live the flower hair clip touch! :-D Emmie looks so happy and adorable as always! :-)
