When Daddy's away....

THE BABY WILL PLAY!

Daddy had to go to Las Vegas for work last week.  He was gone the whole week.  So, it was just us girls.

Sidenote: Has anyone determined what color Sissy's eyes are?

Sissy and I pretty much just hung out all week.  Like most big sisters, I ignored her a lot.

But, I wasn't grumpy the whole time Dad was away.  We got along most of the time.

But, when I could, I kept my distance and slept in my sanctuary (crate).

Daddy would call when he could.  Sissy would whip her head towards the phone to say hello!

She tried to keep him up on all the current events of our home.  And she made sure that she showed him her belly, even if he couldn't see it over the phone.  Trick's on her.  It was chilly and rainy at times, and Mama put an undershirt on her, so there was no belly to be seen.

With Daddy gone, we got to go on a lot of walks to past the time, and wear us out.

We sniffed...

We followed ducks...

We ran...

and we hung out at the pool!

It was a lot for Sissy.  She fell asleep a lot.  Too bad for her!  She didn't know what she was missing!

On the rainy days, I hated going out.  Even with my favorite green leash, I would tuck my paws in and refuse to go out.  Water and bulldogs do not mix!

Sissy liked staying in during the rain too.  This is her cozy in her bulldog pajamas.  They are made for a boy, but Mama thinks she looks cute in them.

And on the rainy days, she just played with her stuffed friends and played with her bulldog mobile.

Sissy is still not rolling and she still doesn't have any teeth, but she has been working on her standing.

And Sissy has become a thumbsucker!

Mama says it is super hard to catch her thumbsucking on film, but you get the idea.

Mama is getting annoyed.  The sun came out and gave us 80 degree weather.  So, Mama puts Sissy in cute little dresses, and all she does is lift her dress over her head over...

and over again.

Since Daddy was gone, Mama needed to put Sissy someplace while she did things like dishes, or cooked/ate, or went potty.  The jumper it was.  This doorway is in the hallway between the restroom and the kitchen, so it was perfect.

Mama loves Sissy's monkey toes.  She takes after Mama.  Daddy's toes don't bend well because of all the years of stubbing them playing basketball.

I like her monkey toes too!

Sissy doesn't mind her baths now days.  Mama let's her play with the shower head, so she will hang out in the bath until she wrinkles up!  She's crazy!  I hate baths!

Sissy and the family went to the cousins' house for dinner this weekend.

Sissy loves cousin Beckett.  Maybe because he is nonstop and very entertaining.

She loves and looks up at cousin Garrison too.  But, he was busy watching The Big Bang Theory with our daddy.  It is their favorite show.  Maybe cousin Garrison will be a scientist when he grows up!

Mama thinks she looks like Lemon Meringe from Strawberry Shortcake.  And that she looks like she should be syncronized swimming.

That is all for this week.  I have decided that if I sleep on Daddy's lap like this, he won't be able to go away again.  We missed him terribly.

Not very much going on...

But, I decided to go ahead and give you a quick report anyway.

Things have been pretty slow around here, but I'll give you a few random pictures to get you through until the next post.

My sissy has been doing pretty well when it comes to sleeping at night.  She is slowly getting into a schedule.  I am not going to lie, it is hard for my mama to stick to it, but it is a learning process for us all.  For right now, Sissy is sleeping anywhere from 6-8 hrs a night in a row.  Not too shabby.

Sissy and Mama went to go visit Great Grandpa for lunch and pie.  This is Sissy just hanging out on his sofa.  There is a curve in the corner of his sofa which is perfect for Sissy to prop herself up in.

Sissy's new bad habit is lifting up her shirt.  Daddy does not like it at all!  Mama thinks it is cute.  Sissy pulls her shirt/dress up to look at the colors, then tries to put it in her mouth.  Since she doesn't know how to put it back down, her shirt is left up for everyone to see her pom pom (tummy).

Sissy also got two new teething toys.

They go in the fridge, and she loves them.  One is a flower and one is a butterfly.

As you can see, sometimes she get frustrated because the toys are a little bit too big for her mouth.  And on top of that, her motor skills aren't the best, sometimes she misses her mouth altogether.

This was right before she lifted up her dress again.  But, I had to throw it in, because it took Mama a long time to find a dress to match Sissy's socks!  She has a pair of cow socks the same weird green color.  But, Mama found this dress!  She was so happy!

It has been kind of cold, so she snuggles up during naps.  Don't worry, Mama is there to make sure she doesn't smother herself.

Sissy doesn't really have restaurant manners yet.  But, the family went to get BBQ, and she sat really nicely with Daddy!

The weather has been weird.  Sunny one day and cold and rainy the next.  But, Mama and Tia Ericka cleared out the leaves from the patio, so when I just need to get away from my sister, I get to hang out there during the day.

With the colder nights, come warmer clothes for potty walks.  Mama bought 2 of these full body fleece outfits.  I like them because since she is warm, Mama lets us walk a little longer at night.

OK, I know I have been saying that our California weather has been cooling off.

But, Mama saw that the weather will be in the 80's later this week.  So, Mama convinced Daddy that Sissy needed something...

A SWIMSUIT!

Since the last picture, you couldn't see the top very well, here is another view.  Daddy isn't thrilled that it is a two piece.  Lucky for him, this swimsuit is actually a bit too small (and it is size 12 months!)  so, Mama is going to return it for a one piece that is bigger.  It also has a ladybug cover up, but since she is returning it, there is no reason to show you.

But, Sissy and I discussed it.

We will definitely be going to dog beach sometime soon!

So, I am running out of places to hang out.  My sister's stuff is taking over our house.  That leaves me the staircase.  Lucky me.
